A factory tour where participants can observe and experience the cutting of large machine parts

■ Company introduction

Inui Tekkosho Co., Ltd. cuts metal using machining centers, lathes, and other tool machines and manufactures parts of large machines, such as recycling machines and machines to manufacture wear-resistant steel and bearing balls.

The large machine parts we manufacture require one-of-a-kind techniques tailored to the actual parts, such as parts made of an unusually hard material and parts that require an area that exceeds the limits of available equipment.

Also, we machine a wide range of parts, from rollers with a diameter of 1,600 mm to sensors with a 0.1 mm hole.

Our strength lies in our strong capability to respond to such difficult cases, which we have demonstrated for more than 70 years since our founding.

In recognition of these achievements, we won the Osaka Monodzukuri Excellent Company Award in 2023.

■ Site tour details

In this plan, participants will tour a manufacturing site for large machine parts, which they may not see in their daily life. Unlike mass production factories, we produce a wide variety of one-of-a-kind parts, allowing participants to observe various machined parts and machining methods all at once.

We hope this tour will inspire participants to think about the future of manufacturing through our local workshop, such as how recycling machines and bearing balls that we use in our daily lives are manufactured and why craftsmanship that cannot be automated is still needed.

After the on-site tour, participants will experience metal cutting using a cutter they have sharpened to feel how differences in cutting edge affect a workpiece.

We hope participants will experience how craftsmen work based on “logic” rather than “feeling.”
