■ Company introduction

Koyo Shokai Co., Ltd., based in the city of Kishiwada in Osaka Prefecture, is a manufacturer that handles everything from the planning and design to manufacturing and installation of concrete formwork and timbering (temporary structures used to support loads from above and the sides during construction of tunnels, etc.).

We are a rare company in Japan in that we own both woodworking and ironworking shops and also assemble our own products.

We have particular strengths in producing round and specially-shaped formwork and processing steel materials, and can custom-make almost all of our products.

Our products are used in large scale projects, including large civil engineering sites and the construction site of a well-known theme park.

[1] Transparent formwork: Clear Form (NETIS：KK-190028-VE)

The transparent concrete formwork “Clear Form” is a formwork technology that achieves security, reliability, and high quality by visualizing concrete pouring. Since its release, it has been used in all types of frameworks at over 3,000 construction sites. Clear Form also won a Kansai Monozukuri Shinsen special award “Visible Technology Award.”

[2] Pervious board formwork: Aqua Toll (NETIS：KK-230041‐A)

Pervious formwork drains the excess water contained in concrete to achieve a dense concrete finish. In addition, it drains air bubbles together with excess water, leading to the improvement of the appearance of a finished framework. Conventional pervious formwork is in sheet form, made of cloth, or sealed, but this board-type pervious formwork is the first of its kind in the industry.

■ Site tour details

We will first provide to participants a description of the business, details of products we will develop in the future, our business vision, and other information and then, at the manufacturing sites in the woodworking and ironworking shops, introduce formwork products actually used at civil engineering and construction sites.

This tour will allow participants to get to know the details of the company, which has established a one-of-a-kind position in the industry with a focus on custom-made manufacturing.

For those who are interested, we offer a woodworking experience of making a photo stand using timber offcuts or an ironworking experience of performing simple welding.
